About us

Brasserie Posten in Geiranger

Brasserie Posten has an idyllic location right by the fjord, with two outdoor seating areas. One of them is facing the fjord with a nice view towards some old boat houses, the other one also has a view towards the fjord and the mountains. We also have about 35 seats indoor.

The building is the former post office in Geiranger, thereof the name Brasserie Posten. Brasserie Posten was opened in 2012.

Head chef KennethThe owners are Kenneth and Malin. Kenneth is also the head chef, and he has a long experience as a chef, and in 2012 his dream came true, when he opened Brasserie Posten. Kenneth is passionate about good, fresh, Norwegian produce. Therefore, we switch our menu several times during the season, but some signature dishes always have their spot on the menu, like the “Postburser” and our famous fish soup. All the food we serve is made from scratch, from fresh, high quality produce. The food we serve is simple, good and rustic.

It´s not only good food that is important to us, one also needs something good to accompany the food. At Brasseriet you will find a large selection of Norwegian craft beer. We have beer from breweries like Kinn, Nøgne Ø, Ægir, and last but not least, beer from Geiranger´s own brewery – Geiranger Brewery. We also serve wine, locally made apple juice, coffee and other non-alcoholic drinks.

Brasserie Posten is open every day from 1st of April to November 1st, but even though the tourist season ends in October, we are still open a few days a week during the winter time. Check out our Facebook pages for updated information about our opening hours and special events during the off-season.

Welcome!
